Miyak wanted to combine the spray of a waterfall. the fragrance of flowers. and the scent of springtime forest all rolled up into one delicate fragrance. He and Jacques Cavallier eventually came up with L’Eau d’Issey in 1992. No t only did Miyak want to create an avant-garde aquatic floral fragrance but he wanted the look of the bottle to be graced by a slender. sleek bottle which was a symbol of a meeting between East and West.
